HAPPY SUNDAY.
I have to keep this short and sweet because as per the title of this week’s blog, exam season is upon us.
now, LET me tell you, this week has been a whirlwind of events. I’ve been sick, stressed and well stressed again. Being stuck in bed all week took a toll on me mentally so as I am trying to re-coop I am also trying to study and catch my breath so I can be ready for my two exams this week.
It’s been a tough balance trying to get better while also mentally preparing for exams. University is TOUGH STUFF. I get the flu more than I thought. And it hits me at the worst times. But we strive for the best, and this week I really tried my best to get better and rest (even though it took almost everything in me).
I am hoping if any readers of this blog are writing exams right now, that you are reminding yourself that you can still do your very best, but remember to take breaks for yourself too. We put a lot of stress on our bodies when we are in crunch time and preparing for very big assessments. I encourage you all to remember that we are almost there. We also deserve to take care of ourselves too.
Exams are tough, and it definitely clouds our judgement when we take time away from the books. I always feel like I am “not doing enough” when I take a break. But I have to keep telling myself that in the long run, the mental toll will be worse if I keep exhausting myself to the point where I don’t balance studying and rest for my mind and body.
