Humble Holiday

As the holidays are fast approaching, I wanted to share some ideas for shopping locally this year. I recently collaborated with an amazing group, The Peace Collective, which created a campaign specifically giving back to Canadian communities, raising money for research, and contributing efforts into a few relief funds. I was so grateful to be apart of something that I will always stand by. Especially since a part of the campaign was raising money for mental health research, something I am an avid advocate for, I knew becoming a part of this movement would not only inspire me but hopefully bring some inspiration into my community.

On that note, I recently came across this post that recommended 100 Canadian-owned companies. And after being a part of this campaign, I felt motivated to do more. Seeing this post helped me realize that helping these small businesses can help bring some hope for their success during the holidays. And not only will it bring some business to them, but you will also have the opportunity to purchase some unique, natural, or even handmade products that can make for the perfect gift during the holidays! I’ve already spent some time looking (and shopping) on a few online shops and I am already so excited for this holiday season.

This week, I wanted to give a few suggestions for some small Canadian shops:

Selfcare:

  • Mellow
  • The Cure Apothecary
  • The Yukon Soaps Company
  • Catalyst & Co.
  • East City Candles

Home:

  • The Apartment
  • Wyrth
  • Pictus Goods
  • Centro Garden

Fashion/Jewlery

  • Hickox Jewlers

I will share the post below but these are my favorites so far!

Their visions are so unique and they all have online shopping!

A few are not included in the post, however, they are seriously worth looking at!

I hope you enjoy browsing some of these sites and maybe complete some holiday shopping!

Have a great week and stay kind:)

Here is the post where I found these amazing shops!
