Self Reflecting…

Hey Everyone! I realized that it’s already Thursday and I haven’t even posted a blog yet this week. I had this whole amazing idea that I was going to do tons of baking and post more frequently this week to get everyone in the Holiday spirit and to be honest, I haven’t really been in it myself. This week has been absolutely crazy!!!! Working late, being outside for a school event, planning last-minute gifts, getting a little bit of frostbite, and of course finishing up school assignments, this week has flown by without any realization that I seriously haven’t taken a break. Luckily tomorrow is FRIDAY YAY! And then a two-week break. Now, I don’t know about all of you, but I totally need this.

Anyways, I am still going to be baking some recipes despite this delayed post but I wanted to continue keeping everything real and although this is a positive space, that sometimes little bumps happen and we just gotta continue to move forward.

For today, I just wanted to come on here and share a little bit of self-care inspo for the holidays.

First of all, please take my advice and RELAX. I can’t imagine the stress everyone has been going through because everyone has their own daily realities that all look completely different so, take this time and festivity to recollect yourself for the break and take a moment to reflect on all the self-care you have done so far and where you can fit in more time for yourself.

I was also told this the other day, but honestly thinking to the whole year as it slowly starts to come to a close, we have all been through a lot. And someone told me that maybe congratulating and being proud of yourself right before the new year is just what you need to find some closure. Whether it’s through the unexpected of the year, the burden and responsibility of being safe, or the mental strain you’ve been feeling over the past while, finding that slim bit of closure can clear your mind for a whole new year.

It’s never too late to start over, begin something you’ve been dreaming of, find time to build yourself, your character. But, congratulate yourself for getting through one of the hardest years in world’s history. The year of unknowns, confusion, fear but think of the strength you have had to get through it all. I am proud of you too.

And after your ‘aha’ proud moment, create affirmations, small goals for yourself. And trust me, I know we start some pretty generic ones sometimes, but at least it’s a start. And maybe you change it a little here and there, or think of something completely new, but I want you to be able to really build an amazing journey for yourself, building your strength, optimism and obviously positivity! I’ve already started to reflect on the path I have been on this year, and never would I have thought I would have had the mindset to get through it. But, we all surprise ourselves once in a while and the end of the year is when I have finally realized it.

Well, that short little post turned into a slur of words however, wanted to share my new challenge.

Hope you enjoy your last day before the break! (or continue to enjoy it if it has already started!)

Stay Kind:)
