the june saloon

HAPPY SUNDAY!

It’s officially June. One month already gone from summer, which is to be expected because summer always seems to fly by so quickly. But it never beats to amaze me that one month of summer has already gone by.

Let’s run through the past month in events…

Starting off with the fact that I kicked off my summer concert series strong with an outdoor adventure to see Hozier. Never did I expect to feel so many emotions in one concert. I cried, I smiled, I was absolutely captivated from start to finish. He is amazing on radio and recorded, but I did not expect him to jump to an entire new level through his live performance. I entered a new world.

And that’s the special thing about concerts. I felt extremely present and it just puts into perspective the way music can truly make you feel. It is a healing outlet. And going with my roommates made the experience even more special.

School has also been a whole event in itself. Taking yet another course has been tiring and being completely honest, the motivation has been lacking to a max. As much as I like the thought of being academically productive in the summer, it is difficult to stay attentive to the due dates and work I have to get done. But on the flip-side, these courses are fast-tracked and by mid-June, I can officially say that it will feel like summer.

I’m keeping this extra short and sweet this week to spend time with my family, but I hope you are all doing well.

STAY KIND 🙂

with love
