west coast

After months of inconsistency, I am happy to say that my writer’s block is passing and my motivation is on its return for posting consistently.

A new chapter calls for a new segment of sharing my life and I have many many new ideas as I embark on my adventure living on the west coast, in beautiful BC.

Life has been in constant movement for the past month and a half. From road-tripping with my sister across the country, to feeling as though I was living out of a suitcase for a month, to then travelling back, with a pitstop at the Calgary Stampede, to now living in Vancouver, I feel like I need to catch my breath. As of late, I have officially moved into my new home in Vancouver and have spent the time settling in. But let’s recap what has been happening.

My sister road trip was unreal. A bit of chaos surrounded our route but we ended up going through Minnesota and Montana to get to Alberta. The first few days were jam-packed, filled with lots of driving, lots of coffee, and obviously good company. Getting to Montana was a journey of its own, and once we were there, things started shifting in a sense that we did not have as much chaos and more freedom for activities. We journeyed up back through Alberta where we stopped in Calgary, Banff and Jasper! The most beautiful drive I have ever experienced. With no service I basically just stared out of my window. Then I got hit. With a virus. And it was horrid, but at least the view made up for it. I had never been to Jasper before so it was really nice to stay there for a few days, rest and take in everything.

From Jasper, my sister and I decided to rent a tiny home in Golden, BC and it was the best decision ever. Our little cabin was a nice getaway and break from all the driving we had done. We were actually located beside a wolf sanctuary which was something I had never experienced before. I mean I think it’s pretty uncommon to stay in an area like that. But regardless, our tiny house was adorable and the perfect stay before finishing our adventure in Kelowna. That place is truly my home away from home. The humans living there are amazing and it truly is one of my favourite places on the entire planet.

I returned home to go through the motions of graduating university, packing my final things, and saying my goodbyes to everyone at home before heading back out west to the Calgary Stampede. And that was truly such an amazing weekend. Lots of activities, lots of walking (& birds –> e-scooters if you don’t know) and pure enjoyment.

To a chaotic plane ride to Kelowna, we picked up my car and headed to Whistler. One of the longest travel days by far. But we made it one piece and now I have spent the last little bit adjusting to my new home in Vancouver. And it has been absolutely amazing.

With that being said, I do miss my people at home. My support. But phone calls and facetimes have been helping lots with this transition.

This is now the beginning of my new series, THE WEST COAST EDIT.

I can’t wait for you all to join me in this next chapter of living.

STAY KIND:)
