It’s October 3. – mean girls
Since it is now October, it’s officially time to tap into your inner fall self. Spooky season is fast approaching and this year, we have to go full out.
I mean I try to immerse myself into the fall mood every year, but I’ve been feeling an extra boost to do some decorating and fall festivities this year.
Here is my fall guide to tapping into our inner fall aesthetics.
MOVIES:
Can’t call it fall if you don’t watch at least one of the Halloweentown movies or Hocus Pocus. Or even a horror movie. My favorite thing to do this season (other than apple/pumpkin picking) is to have movie nights. The energy around fall Halloween movies is constant excitement so if you get the chance at least once a week, marathon a couple movies on a Sunday with the fam or your friends.
ACTIVITIES:
- Pumpkin Patch (my favorite place is Springride Farm – for all those close to Milton)
- Apple Picking
- Hiking (the best with the leaves changing color)
- Drive-in
- Canada’s Wonderland (Halloween Haunt)
- Park Picnic with Coffee
- PINTEREST SPLURGE
- FALL BAKING (PERSONAL FAVORITE)
SHOPS:
- Candle shops (wherever you can find fall candles)
- Home decor – they usually have the cutest little trinkets or fall pillows
FOOD:
- PUMPKIN EVERYTHING (if you don’t try a pumpkin scone from Starbucks, I think you will regret it)
- Apple crisp
- Muffins
- Soup
Basically, any baked goods sum up getting into the fall spirit. It’s all about the comfort foods that match the weather outside. This is my favorite time to incorporate more fall/in-season foods into meals or baking to try and create that feeling.
COFFEE ORDERS:
As a previous barista, here are my current fall orders (I also get all of these with almond or soy milk):
- Grande Iced (or warm) Chai Tea Latte with One Pump of Chai and One Pump of Apple Brown Sugar (literally tastes like a fall candle)
- Pumpkin Spiced Latte
- Cinnamon Dolce Latte
I will be sharing as much fall inspiration as I can because I want you all to feel the happiness of fall.
STAY KIND:)
