busy bee

HAPPY SUNDAY!

I am busy. again.

To think November is considered a “slower” month feels like an understatement. It just got so hectic again.

Between midterms, extracurriculars, future planning for school, applying for jobs, and everything else, there is so much going on 24/7. But this has also been ongoing since September. I feel like now it’s just catching up to me. Like I said last week, November is a weird month. So much going on, and nothing going on at the same time. Does that make sense?

It’s holiday season though. And Starbucks just came out with their new holiday drinks. So I thought I would share my current go-to’s:

(1) Grande Blonde Almondmilk Latte with 1 Pump of Caramel Brûlée topping

(2) Grande Iced Blonde Americano with a Splash of Almondmilk and 1 Pump of Sugar Cookie Syrup

(3) Grande Dirty Chai Tea Latte with Blonde Espresso, Almondmilk, 2 Pumps of Chai, and 1 Pump Caramel Brûlée

My coffee orders tend to be a little excessive but I could never go wrong with any of these. But disclaimer, my coffee taste is not on the sweet side (except for maybe the third one, when I decide to get it sometimes) but order as you will with these!

I am starting an album, to document the amount of times I will treat myself to a Starbucks Coffee. I am trying to hold back and make my coffees at home, but when it comes to holiday drinks, I can’t really resist. Fall is my favourite season, but Christmas is my favourite holiday. And these next couple of months just sum up my favourite time of year. Treating myself to a coffee from Starbucks just feeds my soul, but that could also be my shopping addiction speaking.

I have been working toward creating some goals that I want to accomplish before the new year.

SO, here are my current two-month goals:

(1) BE MORE PRESENT – I am trying my very very best to cut down my phone time. To the max. I want to just focus on my school work. And be present socially with my friends and family. So I am trying, to just not feel like I have to answer quickly or be checking things all the time, although it can easily become a bad habit. I am not saying to not keep up with the tech world or be present online (because some of my hobbies involve that) but I just mean be fully present in my day-to-day moments.

(2) WALKS AND TALKS – I loved my morning walks. They fill my soul, energize me, and allow me to set a positive tone for the day. But I also love walking with my friends. And just chatting about anything and everything. So walks are truly a multi-purpose event. They can fulfill many needs and soulful moments.

(3) HITTING THE BOOKS – I feel like I have been on a bumpy ride with school recently. Just trying to figure out my life path, I feel like I have been occupied with future planning, that school has been giving me a run for my money recently. And I need to desperately fix that. Quickly and efficiently. I love school, and I love learning, but I also love having a plan. And now that I have been changing my career path here and there, it’s become quite stressful in balancing what I have going on right now. So my goal is to just maintain a focus for the last month and a bit of school. Focus on now, and focus on my school work goals.

(4) HOLIDAY SPIRIT – I want to make holiday plans. I want to skate, and go to holiday markets, and make cute holiday drinks, and hike in the snow. So I am holding myself accountable for these plans. AND ACTUALLY GOING THROUGH WITH THEM. For real. It’s pretty self-explanatory, but I want to implement these fun plans in my life, so that I can continue to add bits of excitement here and there.

I have been planning other goals in my life as well, but those can be for another day, when I need a deep debrief.

I hope you are all doing well.

HAPPY FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER

STAY KIND:)

with love,
