november ins, november outs

HAPPY SUNDAY!

I saw this trend going around about self-reflection. For the month of November, people are listing what they believe is “in” and what they believe is “out” in terms of their life. So I though I’d write about it. Something short and sweet this week, but I want you to do the same. Think about what you want to implement in your life to give yourself a healing, reflective and mindful month. And then think about what you believe is ready to go. Basically what you believe is just not working for you right now.

I think it’s important to understand that change can happen anywhere and anytime. There is no time limit on change and there is no start or end to when you need to alter things in your life to prioritize YOU. You do not have to wait for the clock to strike midnight or for the new year to come. Letting time pass or waiting for the “perfect” moment will push you further from making a change in the first place. And it can be super easy to fall into the cycle of missing the “moment” you thought of in your head and continuing to wait for the next one to come.

CHANGE CAN HAPPEN WHEN YOU WANT CHANGE TO HAPPEN.

So that’s why I wanted to do this trend. Because I don’t want to wait around for whatever this perfect moment may be. If I have learned anything over the past year, it is that I can’t wait around for life to work; I make life work because I don’t wait around. Interpret that how you want, but I am basically saying that you are the leader of your life, the one to make decisions, the one to pursue goals and build your dreams into reality. So if something isn’t working for you, remove it from your life. And if you think something would make life better, add it to the life mix.

CURRENT KEEPS FOR MY LIFE:

  • morning journal session
  • sweet treats
  • cozy dinners
  • movie nights
  • bundled walks
  • thrifting
  • solo dates
  • walk and talks
  • new coffee shops
  • road trips!
  • productive mornings

ON THE OUTS:

  • always saying yes
  • all nighters
  • second guessing
  • excuses
  • skipping songs
  • procrastination

This gave me the ability to reflect over what’s been happening recently in my life. And I have loved getting the chance to understand what’s been working and what I could change.

I hope you are able to take a few moments to reflect too. And understand how you can build more balance into your life and prioritize your needs.

STAY KIND 🙂

with love,
