European Adventures

Today, I was looking through some old pictures for a project I’m working on, and to be honest, it got me feeling nostalgic when I came across pictures from one of the best experiences of my life so far. My trip to Europe. So I thought I’d share this experience with you!

This was my FIRST time leaving North America, let alone, not even with my parents but with my school. I had never been more excited about something that would be crossed off my bucket list. Oh, and I forgot to mention that traveling is one of my favorite hobbies in life. The experiences, the food, the people; I get the chance to leave my house and experience a completely different lifestyle.

We started in Amsterdam, and if you are ever there, please go to the Anne Frank House. It looks like a small building, but inside, it was seriously a different world. Listening to her journal entries and even touring the house, it was so amazing.

Before we ended up in the city of lights, we traveled through Belgium with visiting little towns like Antwerp and Ypres and then into France with Arras and Normandy. We of course tried some European pizza which was so rich and authentic. And probably my favorite restaurant was back in Antwerp and they had the most aesthetic restaurant that served bubble waffles and THEY. WERE. SO. GOOD. (This is my close friend Alex who was my travel buddy for the trip!).

The last portion of the trip was spent in the beautiful city of Paris, which was an absolute dream. We went to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa which was honestly a lot smaller than I thought. I made some friends with some pigeons by the late Notre Dame. Tried some famous macarons (of course it is a must when visiting Paris). The ChatĂȘau de Versailles had incredible art and the detail was to perfection. The streets were so amazing and even though we did end up getting lost on the subway, the views canceled it out! And the best part of all, going up the Eiffel Tower! Even though the struggle to get in with all the people trying to sell trinkets was difficult, the view was crazy and the experience was so unreal.

Overall, this trip seriously changed my whole perspective on taking in every little moment that brings me joy since I feel like 12 days flew by in one! Thanks for letting me share this with all of you!
