Homemade Granola Goodness

HOMEMADE GRANOLA. I have been making this recipe so often that it has become my new breakfast addiction. The crunch, taste of cinnamon, and sweetness of maple syrup are just enough to make this the best granola I have ever had. It is super easy to make and will have you close to finishing the whole pan when the smell of humbleness spreads from the oven.

Follow these short few steps and you will have yourself a new, and healthy breakfast option!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 1/2 Cups Quick Oats (or any oats in your cupboard)
  • 3/4 Cups Sliced Almonds (I used pre sliced, but you can do it yourself as well)
  • Dash of Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Cinnamon (I eyeball this since I LOVE cinnamon)
  • 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 Cup Almond Oil (Avocado Oil works too)
  • 1 Tbsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tsp. Almond Extract

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together, making sure the cinnamon coats all the oats and almonds.

In a separate small bowl, combine the maple syrup, oil, and vanilla and almond extract. Pour over the dry ingredients and using a spatula (my favourite Jamie Oliver spatula is linked down below) fold over the dry ingredients until all coated. Pour the prepared ingredients onto the prepared pan. Place in oven for 45 minutes, with 3 intervals of mixing every 15 minutes (THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT). Once time is done, let cool completely before transferring into a dish/container. ENJOY

This recipe can be stored in an air tight container for up to three weeks so enjoy as you please!

I hope that this week, you will be able to try out this recipe and taste for yourself the addictive flavours! Thanks for reading this week’s blog!
