official room tour

I think it’s kind of funny to come up with blog titles. It’s sometimes like my Instagram captions, I usually just go with something that comes to mind right away. I like the non-capitalized words though. Makes it subtle and also just a bit of a softer effect. I never want anything to be too crazy with my titles and the look is just cute. I feel like a youtuber or something when I use the word ‘official’… like those “official house tours”. Maybe I watch too much youtube now but still, I think back to all my titles and I find it really funny what I tend to come up with.

ANYWHO, the purpose of this blog… an official room tour (there it is again) and I want to share where I got most of my decor. I see many many items on Pinterest that I would give everything to have, but I never know where to find some of them. And then I search aimlessly on the internet for hours. But I like to give inspiration from my own room just in case someone needed some help finding cute decor. I think I did a pretty decent job with my room. It’s cozy and boho and pink and I spend much of my time in here because of the effect I get. Actually, the effect and environment I dreamed of. I get the morning light, have my window open to listen to nature and it’s completely an escape for me. I love it. My own space.

SO HERE, the official tour:

To literally show the exact same picture as my last blog, the second time around is better.

MY BEDDING: Urban Outfitters Jersey Duvet Cover

I used the same bedding as that of my first year of university. It was too good to let go. I am going to be honest, I don’t know where some of my pillows are from, but most were either Walmart or Urban Outfitters again. Blanket is from Costco, I think it is an ugg blanket but don’t quote me on that.

I don’t think I have ever loved a table set up more than this one. The close up was necessary.

The table itself is from Homesense. I found it on fluke right when I walked into the store and it was the best decision ever to buy it right away. The bottom shelf has three ceramic cactuses that I found at Ikea. I had them last year too and they also add a lot to the room.

The middle shelf has a few things. Candle is from Anthropologie. I always have to invest in one from there because I have a go-to scent and couldn’t live without it. The purple boot is actually a bottle opener that I bought from Urban Outfitters but I mostly use it as decor. The earring plate is actually from a small shop in Hamilton, I think. Sometimes I mix up those and Urban Outfitters. The plant pot is from Urban Outfitters though.

For the top shelf, obviously there is a bottle of 818 tequila but the other plate with the crystals is also from a small shop, I believe. I try to find those from local shops whenever I can. The crystals themselves are from a variety of places. Centro Garden or Catalyst and Co.

This is what I call my little reading corner. The mirror is also from Homesense… I was really surprised by their selection because there is always a 50/50 chance between being good and bad. The books are from Indigo, Amazon and my friends. I’ve been trying to read more. Or at least have a book started so that I can motivate myself to read a few pages here and there. The floor pillow and carpet are also from Urban Outfitters. It’s like they knew I needed decor and just set me up with everything I needed.

This is the start of my fall corner. The ‘Harvest Blessings’ sign is from Homesense. The glass bottle and flowers are Ikea. The pumpkins are from Dollarama. And finally the candle and reed diffuser are from Walmart. Also the metal shelf is from Ikea too. I found the inspiration from Pinterest to use the metal shelf and it is perfect for storing little bins and all of my bags.

And here is my favourite table again. I can’t get enough of it.

This room is like my little sanctuary. I spent a lot of time figuring out how I will use the space and make it special for me. It’s a safe and cozy space.

STAY KIND:)

with love
