East Coast Lifestyle

I haven’t really written many blogs about traveling, I mean we aren’t able to go anywhere right now, but, that doesn’t mean we can’t reminisce a little right? As the year is coming to a close, I have been looking back in my phone memories, not just for this year, but for a lot of trips I have taken in the past. And yes, I will admit that Pinterest sparked my interest again in traveling and the world, but some of these pictures were too nostalgic not to share.

I want to bring you along down memory lane of my fam trip to PEI. To say the least, there is a lot I could blabber on about, but I’ll make this short and sweet, and show some fun pics from this trip.

First of all, we drove. And driving over 25 hours in a car with the fam, even though we have done it many times before, is A LONG HAUL. You start to get a little restless and sometimes you don’t agree but it’s not like you can go anywhere except turn your face out the window. And I know we’ve all done that before. Luckily we split it up, made a few stops along the way (Quebec, New Brunswick), and then finally made it to the island of PEI.

I think the hardest part of this trip was that I was in summer school at the SAME TIME, but I have never enjoyed doing that much school in such a beautiful place. We stayed in this house that looks onto the water which means that the sunsets were that much more amazing. As someone who is obsessed with the sky and sunsets, I think there’s a word for it, oh yes, Heliophile, but anyway, I was so amazed by the sky literally the WHOLE trip.

Side note, I feel like I should make a blog just featuring my sunset sky pictures, would that be fun? This is honestly what just pops into my head when I write.

so off track…

We did some pretty fun excursions, from deep seawater fishing, but I won’t go on about getting seasick, ugh, not a fun one. But, kayaking in the choppiest water I’ve ever experienced in New Brunswick, going horseback riding along the water, walking in Charlottetown, and of course, eating some of our favorite meals at blue mussel cafe (coolest name ever) and the best fish and chip seaside restaurant to finally finish with the best ice cream I have probably ever had in my life.

This trip was seriously the best, I think it really suited my family and we had the best time. Let me know though in the comments what your best trip was, maybe to give me some ideas for where I want to go when quarantine is done:)

I’ll be back soon with another blog.

Stay kind:)
