reading week

HAPPY SUNDAY!

today is the last day of reading week before school starts again.

I feel like I didn’t accomplish any school this week.

I tried to re-coop and just reset but I have kind of let some things pile up and now I am a little bit stressed (actually stressed is an understatement).

I also just pre-ordered the new Colleen Hoover book. I can’t remember the last time I got as excited for a new release of a book. This is a nice change. That I am interested in reading again. It’s a good distraction from everything that’s going on. And when I am in a really good book, I am never aware of the time or anything and just immerse myself into reading.

I added ‘reading a good book’ to my gratitude list.

Actually, I wanted to mention that today.

I think everyone should make a GRATITUDE LIST.

I saw it on tik tok (shocker), but I started making one in my notes app and was having fun remembering past moments and getting really specific about what I was grateful for and moments that bring gratitude into my life. In times where we sometimes forget little positive moments of our life or need a little bit of extra reassurance, a gratitude list might be a small key to help remember those things. To bring you into a small positivity bubble and remember that despite negativity or challenges in your life, there is still calm after the storm. Or a breakthrough that may happen. This list is not to dwell on the past either, it’s to remind you about the small things that make life enjoyable and for you to bring these into your life in times where you forget about things that you love. or moments that bring you joy.

We create our life. our purpose. and our journey.

So this gratitude list is special to you. It should help you figure out what brings you joy in your world. And what will continue to reassure you about moving forward.

SELF-CARE GOALS:

  • read a book (YES THE NEW COLLEEN HOOVER)
  • try a new coffee shop
  • girls night with friends
  • clean my space
  • focus more on the present moment
  • make lists! (to-do, gratitude)
  • watch a wholesome movie (for me; HARRY POTTER)

The rest of October is busy. But I want to continue to push for self-care moments to remind myself that my rest times are important. That resets are important.

I hope if you had a reading week that you got some time to reset.

And if you didn’t have reading week, I hope October is bringing you a time of mindfulness and self-care.

Please remember, this is always a space for clarity, to reset, to talk, and to listen.

STAY KIND:)

with love
