a question for you

have you ever felt like time could just stop?

that you just need a minute to catch up?

I feel like it’s running a race. Not that I have run one professionally or anything, or really in general, but the feeling that if for a split second you could increase your stride just to get to the point of catching up. And once getting to that point, feel a sense of relief. But until then, my muscles tense, I am stressed, and I feel like there is so much I need to do to in order to even be on track to get there.

If we wish for time to stop, and we wait for the right feeling, to catch up to something or someone, we can’t make progress. We can’t live our lives. I’m bringing this up because I’ve found myself in this position, thinking I couldn’t accomplish things because I wasn’t “in the right place”. or “caught up”. But what is the right place? This feeling is on my mind all the time. But if I don’t move, will I even have a chance of getting there? I don’t believe that we have some mastery person to accomplish, because we would honestly never get there. We can be at places of comfort, we can feel happy and joyous, but we don’t have to attain that hierarchal position in order to have that. I love watching people make videos talking about being their best selves and really focusing on attaining this “person” but I think they are sometimes missing the point. THE PRESENT. goals are amazing. I think we should have them to feel motivated, and accomplished. But we shouldn’t wish away who we are to be someone else. We are who we are. And I am going to be honest, there could be so many highs in your life. So many amazing things, but there are moments of fixation where you think there could be more. Or something better. We miss things that could mean so much more because we are focused on being something more. When in reality we are pretty amazing as we are.

It’s something that’s been on my mind so I thought I would write about it. Because I keep finding myself thinking about the future, and as good as it is to think about, I am so happy right now and I don’t want to miss moments because I am dwelling on what could be.

Everything happens for a reason.

Everything happens when it does.

So don’t wish away certain moments for alternatives.

Because we are always growing.

And every moment counts.

I am absolutely not saying that we shouldn’t have goals or if we need to make a change that we shouldn’t. But be mindful of you, your body, and your soul.

And remember that where you are now may or may not be the best place for you to be in this moments time. We are always growing whether it is in front of us or not.

I am going to leave you with one last thing that I was talking to my friend about today: It is okay to think about people or situations who may have hurt you in the past. If you are dwelling on something, maybe it means that there is still something to learn. Sometimes a step back will results in three steps forward soon enough. Everything happens for a reason, and maybe this event has something to teach you for you to continue your growth.

STAY KIND:)

with love
