Caffeine Dream

I HAVE BEEN LIVING THE CAFFEINE DREAM.

My new goal has been to visit a new coffee shop each week and try different styles to broaden my coffee tasting and I am excited to share my current favs that I have tried.

Disclaimer: most of these coffee shops are in Toronto, however, I would say that each one is definitely worth the trip! My preferred time is Sunday mornings. I throw on a mellow playlist and enjoy a really nice scenic route. Sometimes I go North through some of the very beautiful neighborhoods or sometimes I take the lakeside drive, either one makes for a really relaxing morning.

Coffee is something I didn’t think I would ever get into. But two years ago, when I tried the Starbucks Almond Honey Flat White, my view on coffee changed literally for the rest of my life. I actually wanted to address all the coffee trends going around accusing everyone of putting too much milk or too much sweetener in their coffee, and while I say that I am guilty of putting a little bit of vanilla into my coffee, the espresso is something I have come completely accustomed to. However, I am also a latte girl. My constant go-to is a soy latte. But it’s all about the experience and the art of the coffee for me. I enjoy talking to baristas and taking that first sip of coffee that will truly make or break the rest of my day.

NOW FOR MY FAVOURITE PLACES:

#1 Mos Mos Coffee

I originally saw this coffee shop on Tik Tok and was convinced it was a mandatory trip. The Vanilla Soy Latte was so creamy, smooth and the espresso was amazing. The coffee shop is a little hidden but once inside I was so amazed by the homemade teas they had and they also had vegan donuts (I didn’t get to try them) that looked absolutely delicious. Since it’s all about the experience for me, I have to comment on the really welcoming baristas they had, that literally made the visit so much better.

#2 Found Coffee Company

THE CUTEST MOST AESTHETIC COFFEE SHOP! Plants. Plants. Plants. everything modern, pink, accented, boho…. and they had vegan treats! Very delicious, the staff was so nice and the experience was absolutely there. They had this really cool floral collaboration going on where they were selling a bunch of different flower arrangements/groups. Being there finally felt like spring so it was a really nice visit! They were also selling the cutest mini mugs/espresso cups. I don’t know what it is, but something about mini items like cups or stuff like that has a way to my heart.

#3 Sweet Bliss

Now, this is the coffee place to be. The scones are absolutely amazing and their lattes are so warming and tasteful. The good thing I like about this shop is that it is completely outdoors. They serve through a sliding window and everything is COVID safe which I have been loving. Although it is further than most, it is always worth the scenic route. Also, every time we go, they decide on a new list of items to sell, so maybe you’ll see different bakery foods each time you visit.

#4 Tribeca Coffee

So… this is the only Oakville store I have on here. BUT, I needed to mention how good it is. They made me a special barista creation which was a mix of chai and lavender. Usually, chai is not my first go-to but I love the hint of cinnamon in it. Also… the next time I went, I tried macadamia milk for the first time and that was also worth it. Plus, they also offer vegan treats which I LOVE. And the baristas were super friendly.

#5 Balzac’s Coffee

This one I visited when I was in the distillery district in the fall. I had a few connections to the store and had heard a bit about the coffee however, I hadn’t tried it before. But they make really good iced lattes. And the interior design pretty much brought the whole experience together with all the pictures hung around and the menu on the wall.

#6 Dineen’s Coffee

I honestly don’t know why this one is last because it is probably one of my favorite coffee shops. When plants, natural, rustic, and coffee go together, I am obsessed. Back again with a vanilla soy latte but seriously it is so good. I wish I could go back right now because I need a coffee ASAP but everything about the store is just a dream.

ANYWAY, that is a little coffee review, from myself, a true coffee addict.

STAY KIND:)
